Helping You With Your Program

To help you give a great program, SLDL has a wide array of items for your use including stereos, VCRs, DVD players, an overhead projector, slide projectors, and microphones.  If you have a group of people and need to talk to someone remotely, take a look at our Local History Room, a good place to make a conference call.  SLDL also has a number of high tech items available.

Interactive Smartboard 

A great touch-screen/whiteboard teaching tool, the Smartboard is five feet across, and is available for teaching in the Technology Lab.

 

Sanyo Projectors 

Three ceiling mounted Sanyo projectors are available from PC presentations, videos, and any other digital presentation that you need to show on a big screen.  Two are available in the Program Rooms, and one in the Technology Lab.  These 3700 Lumen projectors can be used for VCR, DVD, or PC (up to SXGA (1280 x 1024) Resolution) presentations.

Elmo Digital Visual Presenter 

Think of this as an digital overhead projector.  With a high powered digital camera, the Elmo Presenter, with one of the projectors, will make it a snap to project letters, drawings, books, even three dimensional objects onto the big screen.  If your program involves some "close-in" work, like sewing, or you have some very small objects that you need one hundred people to see, just show it on the presenter and let the whole room see.

Elmo Digital Slide Projector 

Bring your slide presentation into the 21st century.  The digital slide projector takes your slides and projects them using our projection system.  You can pan and zoom to pick out just the right part of your slide.  You can even brighten or dim it to your specifications.

T-Coil 

The Baird Program Room is equipped with Telecoil (T-coil) Technology, to assist the hearing impared.

Like the rest of the library, our public meeting rooms are wired for laptop internet access, as well as wireless access.
