If You are a Veteran Who Served in Time of
War, We Want to Hear Your Story!

The Veterans History Project is a
collaborative effort to collect and preserve the remembrances of American war
veterans and the civilians who supported them. Created by the Library of
Congress, the Project is committed to honoring veterans of past and current
wars.
Volunteers around the nation are
working to collect veterans’ stories on behalf of the Library of Congress. The
objective of this effort is to enrich the nation’s understanding of Americans
who served in 20th and 21st century wars.
Spring Lake District Library is
proud to be a partner with
Grand Valley State University in this initiative. Interviewers with the
History Department at GVSU are seeking West Michigan veterans (and civilians
who worked in support roles) who are willing to share their wartime experiences.
Call Spring Lake District
Library at (616) 846-5770, ext. 107 to arrange an interview. |
