Libraries offer much more than books in today’s world. Spring Lake District Library will be offering the community a taste of Jewish history and culture from December 28, 2011, to February 24, 2012, the dates the library will be hosting “In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak” “In a Nutshell” is a traveling exhibit about renowned children’s book author and illustrator Maurice Sendak.

The Outdoor Discovery Center Presents...

Owls of Michigan

Come listen to a reading of Owl Moon, by Jane Yolen, and see live owls, learn about taxidermy, and learn owl calls from the experts of the Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway.

It's Your Move!

Grab your chess board and head to the library.  The SLDL Chess Club is open to all ages (7 and under must be accompanied by an adult), for all skill levels.  The Chess Club meets the second Monday of the month.

Ages 10 and up, escape to the library every third Wednesday of the month for food, friends, and fun.  Play Xbox, Playstation 3, and Wii games.  Come for the fun, stay for the pizza and crafts.
